What is Mobilistan, and is it legit?

Mobilistan sells new mobile phones in Pakistan on halal monthly instalments. It is a Sharia-certified Musawamah sale, not a loan: one fixed price, with no interest and no late fee. Before you trust anyone with your CNIC or your money, you should be able to check who they are. Here is how to check us.

Who we are

• Mobilistan is MOBILISTAN (PRIVATE) LIMITED, a company registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), CUIN 0269128, incorporated on 12 September 2024.
• We are an official partner of Samsung, OPPO, Infinix, TECNO, itel and Villaon. Every phone we sell is new and carries the manufacturer’s warranty.
• Our plans are certified by Al Hijrah Sharia Advisory Services, whose Sharia board is Maulana Syed Muhibullah Agha, Dr. Kaleem Ullah and Mufti Syed Sanaullah.
• Our head office is at Al Sami Plaza, Art School Road.

What we do, in one minute

You choose a phone, a plan of 3, 6 or 9 months, and one of three advance amounts. You apply online at mobilistan.pk/apply in about ten minutes, and our team calls you on WhatsApp. Before you accept, you see one total price, and it never goes up. Then you pay each month from JazzCash. We buy the phone first and then sell it to you, which is what makes it a sale and not a loan. Our Sharia page explains every step.

Five checks you can make yourself

1. 1The company. Search for MOBILISTAN (PRIVATE) LIMITED on the SECP’s website and match the CUIN: 0269128.
2. 2The Sharia certificate. It is on our Sharia page, with its number, its scope and the board’s signatures. You can download it as a PDF.
3. 3The website. Our only website is mobilistan.pk. Read the address letter by letter before you type anything into a page.
4. 4The phone numbers. Our WhatsApp is +92 317 8600078 and our payments helpline is 0370-8199951. Both are on our contact page. A call from any other number saying it is Mobilistan is not us.
5. 5The social pages. We are mobilistan.pk on Facebook, Instagram and Threads, and mobilistanpk on LinkedIn. They all link back to mobilistan.pk.

Where your money goes

You pay only in three places: on mobilistan.pk/pay, in the MPay app, or through the payments helpline, 0370-8199951. We never ask you to send money to a personal JazzCash or bank account, and we never ask for your MPIN. If anyone does, it is not us. Here is how to spot an instalment scam.

What Mobilistan is not

• Not a bank, and we don’t lend money. We sell phones.
• Not a mobile network. Mobilistan is not part of Jazz (once called Mobilink), or of any other network. JazzCash is simply one of the ways you can pay us.
• Not a marketplace. We buy every phone ourselves before we sell it to you.
