Phone on qist without a salary slip or job letter

By the Mobilistan team

Most people in Pakistan don’t have a salary slip. You don’t need one for a Mobilistan phone. Here is what we ask for instead, and who can apply.

Many instalment plans ask for a salary slip, a job letter or a bank statement. Most people in Pakistan don’t have any of these. They run a shop, drive, farm, work by the day, study, or look after a home. For a Mobilistan phone, you don’t need any of them.

What we ask for instead

  • Your own original CNIC. You must be between 18 and 65.
  • A mobile number that is on WhatsApp.
  • A guarantor: someone who knows you well and agrees to vouch for you, with their own CNIC.
  • One more contact we can call if we can’t reach you.

In the form you choose your occupation, write where you work or the name of your business, and pick a range for your monthly income. You don’t upload or scan any income document. Our team confirms it with you by phone instead. Here is the full list of what to keep ready.

Who can apply

The form has a place for almost every kind of work, including:

  • Students
  • Housewives
  • Shopkeepers and people with their own business
  • Drivers and delivery riders
  • Daily-wage workers and labourers
  • Farmers
  • Freelancers
  • Pensioners

A student or a housewife can apply in their own name if they are 18 or older and have their own CNIC. Many people choose a parent, a husband or wife, or a brother as their guarantor.

Choose a qist you can really pay

Without a fixed salary, your income may change from month to month. So choose the phone by its monthly amount, not its cash price. A bigger advance or a longer plan, up to 9 months, makes each month smaller. Our guide on choosing a phone you can afford every month walks you through it, and the Qist Calculator shows the exact amounts for every phone.

Every application is checked, and not every one is approved. If yours isn’t, it costs you nothing: the advance is paid only when you accept the sale.

If a month is hard

No fee is ever added for paying late, and the price never goes up. If an instalment stays unpaid, the phone may be restricted until you pay, and it is released automatically once you do. Someone in your family can also pay for you from their own JazzCash. If you know a month will be difficult, call our payments helpline, 0370-8199951, before the due date.
