Missed a qist? Here is what actually happens

Salary is late, a relative is in hospital, money is tight this month. It happens to everyone. So let’s be straight about what happens if your instalment is late.

First, what doesn’t happen: there is no late fee, and the price of your phone never goes up. The total you agreed when you bought it is the total you pay. That is part of what keeps the sale halal.

The reminders

Two days before your due date, a reminder appears on your phone. On the due date you get one on WhatsApp as well. The next day, one more on your phone.

On the third day, in the morning, you get a final message on WhatsApp and on your phone: if the month is still unpaid, the phone will be locked at 3 pm that afternoon.

At 3 pm

If the month still isn’t paid, the phone locks. When you search on mobilistan.pk/pay, you will see which month is due and how much.

Getting it open again

Pay the month that is due, from mobilistan.pk/pay, the Mobilistan app or through our helpline. The phone unlocks by itself, usually within a few minutes. Nothing extra is added.

If more than one month is due, the phone stays locked until you are up to date. You pay them one after another, oldest first.

The best thing to do

If you know you will be late, call us before the due date on 0370-8199951. Tell us what is going on. It is always easier to sort out early than after the phone has locked. We will never threaten you or call your family to embarrass you.
